The Office for University Equity and Compliance (OUEC)

Who We Are

The OUEC office leads efforts to maintain the University’s compliance with all federal, state, and local laws pertaining to anti-discrimination, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and Title IX.

Confidentiality

The OUEC office is not a confidential resource. Information reported to OUEC will be shared only with individuals who “need to know” in order to assist in the assessment, investigation, and resolution of the reported incident.

Northeastern University Police Department (NUPD)

Contact Information

Who We Are

NUPD Offers an immediate response to emergency situations and provides resources and assistance to victims.

Confidentiality

NUPD is not a confidential resource. Officers are required to report and disclose all allegations of discrimination, sexual crimes, or any related incidents of Prohibited Conduct to OUEC.

Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution (OSCCR)

Who We Are

OSCCR receives formal reports of Code of Student Conduct violations and oversees the Student Conduct hearing process. OSCCR staff can administer no contact orders through the disciplinary process.

Confidentiality

OSCCR is not a confidential resource. OSCCR administrators are required to report and disclose all allegations of discrimination, sexual crimes, or any related incidents of Prohibited Conduct to OUEC.

Housing and Residential Life

Who We Are

Res Life can provide temporary safe rooms and will also refer students to appropriate campus resources.

Confidentiality

Res Life is not a confidential resource. All Res Life staff members are required to report and disclose all allegations of discrimination, sexual crimes, or any related incidents of Prohibited Conduct to OUEC.

University Health and Counseling Services (UHCS)

Who We Are

UHCS provides assessment and treatment of physical injuries, psychological support, therapy referrals and advocacy options.

Confidentiality

UHCS is a confidential resource. This means that they are not required to disclose information about Prohibited Offenses. You can seek out UHCS for medical treatment, emotional support, and counseling services. Anything you share will be kept in confidence.

Find@Northeastern

UHCS offers Find@Northeastern services, including Uwill — a 24/7 mental health support via phone at 877-233-9477 (in the U.S.) or +1-781-457-7777 (outside the U.S.). Uwill connects you to a skilled clinician to listen, help you in the moment, and find the right people and options as you move toward your future.

Office of Prevention and Education at Northeastern (OPEN)

OPEN provides prevention and education services on the topics of alcohol and other drugs, sexual violence, and sexual health. They seek to provide supportive, accessible and non-judgmental services to students as well as to engage our community on wellness-related topics.

Sexual Violence Resource Center

Who We Are

The SVRC provides confidential, trauma-informed support services to Northeastern students who have experienced any form of sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, domestic/dating violence, and/or stalking.

The SVRC staff can facilitate connections for ongoing counseling, medical care, legal services or other resources, discuss reporting options, and/or accompany students through the University investigation and adjudication process.

Confidentiality

SVRC is a confidential resource. This means that they are not required to disclose information about Prohibited Offenses. SVRC provides confidential support, prevention, and education services to students dealing with issues related to Prohibited Offenses as defined under Northeastern University Policy.


Confidential Resource Advising Services (CRA)

Who We Are

CRA provides confidential, restorative-informed support to Northeastern students who have had a report of discrimination filed against them. Students often utilize CRA services to connect to ongoing counseling or legal services and for advising through the University investigation and adjudication process.

Who We Are

Community Consultation services provide confidential guidance to Northeastern students and employees looking to support students and respond to incidents around sexual violence, dating violence, or stalking.

Who We Are

The SHAPE Program is a confidential, research-informed education program designed for college students who have engaged in and/or been accused of unhealthy or harmful sexual behavior.

Students who enroll in the program learn and build skills for healthy and consensual interactions as an opportunity to improve relationships going forward. The program consists of a series of individual meetings with an OPEN staff member and is tailored to address specific educational need

WeCare

Who We Are

We Care is an extended network of support services that provides help and encouragement to Northeastern students who are experiencing unexpected challenges in their personal or academic life, to embolden them so they can succeed. We Care is available to all Northeastern University students, wherever they are studying.

We Care is not a confidential resource. All We Care staff members are required to report and disclose all allegations of discrimination, sexual crimes, or any related incidents of Prohibited Conduct to OUEC.

Disability Access Services (DAS) is dedicated to partnering with the diverse population of students, staff, and faculty who we serve at Northeastern and in the surrounding community.

Saheli

  • Non-judgmental, culturally sensitive services to domestic and sexual violence survivors from South Asia and the Middle East. Saheli’s trained domestic violence advocates speak several South Asian languages including Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Nepali, and also Arabic. Saheli offers legal support including translation, accompanying survivors to court and police stations, and offers free family law legal clinics. All of Saheli services are free and confidential.
