However, the OUEC can still offer any Northeastern-based resources that feel relevant, and can also connect you to local law enforcement, or another institution/company where the Respondent is a student/employee, if applicable.
Formal Resolution
- Includes a full investigation
- OUEC makes formal findings of fact; may include disciplinary action
Informal Resolution
- Voluntary, remedy driven process
- Does not include formal findings of fact
- Does not involve discipline of the Respondent
- Can result in different outcomes such as: a no contact order, education for an individual/group, a facilitated dialogue, or an impact statement
No Action
- Parties may request that OUEC takes no action in response to their report
- Complainants will still receive support resources
5. Assistant Vice President for Equity and Compliance / Title IX Coordinator Review
- Mark Jannoni, the Assistant Vice President for Equity and Compliance and Title IX Coordinator will review the Complainant’s requested resolution option. The AVP generally seeks to honor the Complainant’s request, except in extenuating circumstances.
