OPEN provides prevention and education services on the topics of alcohol and other drugs, sexual violence, and sexual health. Alcohol Skills Training Program
The Alcohol Skills Training Program is a Canvas module focused on harm reduction and educational programming that explores the science behind alcohol and other drugs and offers risk reduction strategies for those making the decision to drink.
UP2US: Foundations
UP2US: Foundations is Northeastern’s foundational sexual violence prevention program required for all new, incoming students to the university. While you completed this course as an incoming student, it is always available for review if you are looking for information and resources regarding consent and healthy sexual communication, warning signs of sexual violence, how to intervene to prevent sexual violence, and resources related to sexual violence.
UP2US: Bystander Intervention
UP2US: Bystander Intervention is a Canvas module where you will learn to recognize situations that are potentially high-risk for violence and how to effectively intervene. Bystander intervention is one of the most promising strategies we have for preventing sexual violence.
What to Do: Preventing and Responding to Sexual Violence as a Student Leader
The What to Do Canvas module focuses on preventing and responding to incidents of sexual violence within student organizations.
RESPOND: Trauma-Informed Response to Disclosures of Sexual Violence
The RESPOND Canvas module teaches you how to offer support to someone making a disclosure in a trauma-informed, survivor-centered way including the basics on the impacts of sexual trauma, information on why a compassionate response to disclosures is so important, step-by-step considerations for an effective response, and information on resources.
Sexual Health 101
Sexual Health 101 is a Canvas module that briefly explores the ways sexual health is a part of your overall wellness.

RESPOND Student Guide
The RESPOND strategy can be used when someone has shared that they have experienced sexual violence. The goal is to support the person who has been harmed by ensuring they understand your reporting obligations and walking them through their options.
